Analysis of Responses to the BSEP (Basic Skills Education Program) Questionnaire for Commanders and Key NCOs at Army Posts in Germany and Panama.

Commanders and NCOs stationed in Germany and Panama were asked to report their opinions of, and experiences with, soldiers who had graduated from the Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP). They reported that soldiers are permitted to attend BSEP as a reward for good performance, that most soldiers attend to improve their General Technical test scores, that graduates show greatest improvement in attitude and self-esteem, and that BSEP graduates show improved job performance.
