Element Gain Pattern Prediction for Finite Arrays of V-Dipole Antennas Over Ground Plane

The element gain pattern for finite phased arrays of dual-polarized crossed V-dipole antennas over ground plane is addressed. The method of moments is used to predict the center element gain pattern. An experimental 19-element passively terminated planar array is described, and center-element gain pattern measurements are presented. The theoretical data are shown to be in good agreement with measurements. Reprints. (rh)
