Homoclinic Type Solutions for a Semilinear Elliptic PDE on Rn. (Reannouncementwith New Availability Information)

In a recent paper the authors studied the existence of infinitely many homoclinicsolutions of the Hamiltonian system of ordinary differential equations. Whenever a system of ordinary differential equations possesses one homoclinic solution, there is standard method to find infinitely many nearby homoclinics provided that the stable and unstable manifolds of the corresponding equilibrium solution intersect transversally. This paper shows how this stream of ideas can be employed to obtain analogous existence results for a family of semilinear elliptic partial differential equations which are of a similar form to (HS) under (L), (V sub 1)-(V sub 3).
