To provide Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) policy and guidance and assign responsibility for leveraging and conducting meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) capabilities in support of Combatant Commanders (CCDRs), joint military operations, activities, plans, training, and exercises.
