EU legislators vote on ban for dangerous pesticides

Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) voted last week to ban pesticides that are endocrine disrupting, genotoxic, carcinogenic or toxic to reproduction — rejecting criticism that the ban could lead to increased food prices or even shortages. They also voted to ban products that are developmentally neurotoxic and immunotoxic if they pose a significant risk.
