摘要

The authors investigated polymer flooding as an enhanced oil recovery (EOR) means in the South Slattery Minnelusa reservoir. The South Slattery field is stepping into the end of secondary waterflood. The priority payzone, Minnelusa A, is characterized by low permeability and high saline brine. As an integrated investigation, the water flooding efficiency was analyzed as the fundamental to EOR research. Then, experiment and simulation methods were adopted to estimate the feasibility of polymer injection and to assess the flooding potential. The predicted recoveries of different injection schemes are presented and the development efficiencies are analyzed.
