Mars restart ahead of schedule

Shell reports that it is 'ahead of schedule' to restart production from its Mars tension leg platform (TIP).Mars was the largest producing platform in the Gulf of Mexico to be affected by Hurricane Katrina last year.It accounts for about 5% of Gulf of Mexico daily gas output.Production is expected to be restored to pre-Katrina rates by the end of June.
