Oil falls as stocks rise

Oil prices fell amid higher US crude and gasoline stocks, dwindling gasoline demand and a reported slowdown in Chinese growth. Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated shed $3.63/bl to $112.44/bl in the week to 18 October, while the ASCI benchmark — a volume-weighted average of US deepwater sour crude deals — lost $2.19/bl to $104.93/bl. But US light sweet marker WTI proved more robust, gaining 3￠/bl to close at $92.10/bl.
