Reports of Commissions/Commission I Stratigraphy, Inventory and Conservation

摘要

The IPS Commission I embraces inventory, stratigraphy and conservation of peatlands. Included in this context are ecology, geology, hydrology, biology and terminology. Each of these subjects could constitute a working group. A perspective is to achieve new activities within the working groups, while keeping in mind collaboration with other Commissions. The Commission addresses all IPS members interested in Commission I activities from all countries to sign up and join the Commission. So far there are members from 13 countries; Belarus, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom and USA.
