ORGANIC EXTRACTIVES,collectively known as resins,negatively affect the quality of fully bleached kraft hardwood pulps,especially dissolving pulps used in the manufacture of viscose rayon,cellophane,or other cellulose derivatives.When making rayon,costly spinnerets have to be changed much more frequently when the dissolved cellulose comes from pulp containing a high content of resin extractives.
