摘要

Mammalian cell culture is an essential technology for the production of bio-pharmaceuticals,as reflected in many information sources throughout the field [1].Of 80 biopharmaceuticals on the market and some 500 additional compounds currently in development,about 20 represent designed proteins,so called second generation biopharmaceuticals [2].Most are glycoproteins produced in animal cells.The list of compounds in development is constantly increasing and those responsible for development of bioprocess parameters are challenged with keeping pace.
