Welcome to the May issue of Surgical innovation. The journal is now 10 years old and continues to grow. We are blessed with an ever-growing number of article submissions, which is good, but it has forced us to not accept a growing percentage of papers and has pushed back the time that an article appears in print substantially. We are working to improve this with the publisher, but fortunately, accepted articles appear right away online and increasingly the readership, particularly our sophisticated readership, is reading their scientific journals electronically anyway.
