摘要

Allografts are playing an increasingly important role in orthopedic surgery. Specifically, the use of allografts in sports medicine has substantially expanded over the last 10 years. The most common uses for these allografts in sports medicine are the soft tissue grafts that are used for ligament reconstruction. They have significantly reduced the morbidity associated with tendon harvest, and at the same time given us the opportunity to replace articular cartilage or meniscus in the young patient with a significantly traumatized joint.
