FPG to set up synthetic rubber plant in China

The Taiwanese Formosa Plastics Group (FPG) will invest USD 300 million to set up a new synthetic rubber plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. Construction will begin in October this year and start up is expected in two years. Initially, the plant will produce 50,000 t/y of isobutylene isoprene rubber for the tyre market.
