Apollo Tyres to take over Cooper Tire & Rubber Company

Apollo Tyres Ltd. and the Cooper Tire & Rubber Company have signed a definitive merger agreement under which a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apollo will acquire Cooper in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately USD 2.5 billion. Apollo Tyres, founded in 1972, has a portfolio of premium and mid-tier brands, including the flagship Apollo brand and Vre-destein.
