The CORE Center Report for this issue highlightswork being conducted within the Children’s NutritionResearch Center (CNRC) at Baylor College ofMedicine. John Foreyt, PhD, Director of the BehavioralMedicine Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine,is a funded researcher in this department. The child obesitystudies that Dr. Foreyt conducts are facilitated throughthe CNRC. Craig Johnston, PhD, and Jennette Palcic,PhD, currently coordinate the studies funded through hisinitiative. The focus of these studies is to examine waysof implementing programs that have demonstrated efficacyinto community settings and attempt to bridge thescience–practice gap.
