摘要

Modeling of asphaltene precipitation in the reservoir porous media of a South Iranian oilfield is the purpose of this article.In this work,experimental data for asphaltene onset conditions at the reservoir temperature of 260 °F (126 °C) were measured for the reservoir fluid.The experimental data were measured using a Near Infrared (NIR) light scattering technique.An equation of state (EOS) based model that represents the asphaltene as pure component solid was applied.A regression technique with dynamic parameter selection was used to tune the equation of state to match differential liberation and constant composition expansion data.Results of the work show that the model could accurately represent the behavior of asphaltene precipitation in the reservoir.
