Repsol Confirms Venezuela Reserves

Spain's Repsol YPF on Thursday confirmed that a natural gas site off the coast of Venezuela had reserves of between 5.6 trillion and 7.8 Tcf, the largest such discovery in the country's history. Repsol announced in September that, in a venture with Italy's ENI, it had found a gas block with estimated reserves of around 8 Tcf - one of the world's top five gas discoveries in 2009.
