California Kills LNG Pipe Filing

The California State Lands Commission has notified Houston-based NorthernStar Natural Gas that it has terminated the Clear-water Port LNG project’s application for a right-of-way lease. In a letter dated Mar. 4, the commission told NorthernStar it took this action because of a “lack of activity on the application.” The commission said it sent a warning letter dated Dec. 3, 2009, to NorthernStar about the possible termination of the application.
