As new pipeline monitoring and control technologies get developed, remote monitoring of corrosion damage build-up process has become possible for companies engaged in oil and gas production and processing. The use of remote monitoring systems manufactured by the U.S.-based RCS company is one of the solutions. RCS was founded in 1950 and is one of the global leaders in production, development and implementation of these technologies for petrochemical, oil-producing, energy industry and other industries. RCS's Microcor and Ultracor systems are widely used by petroleum companies. Their application helps determine efficiency of corrosion inhibitors, measure corrosion rate in real time, determine pipeline wall thickness in hard-to-reach spots. PromHim-Sfera is RCS's official sales agents in Russia, which promotes this equipment in the domestic market.
