Why not gas?

Since Newfoundland and Labrador became a Canadian province in 1949, numerous bad deals concerning manufacturing and natural resource development have helped give its population a chary, possibly cynical, attitude toward industrialization, especially that of the megaproject size. This is why, I think, promotion of natural gas as an energy source for all or most of the province might—and I say might—be misguided.
