USA GULF OF MEXICO: Hercules Offshore has entered into an agreement to sell two of its retired inland barges for USD 600,000 to an undisclosed buyer. Bassoe Offshore has been hired by the drilling contractor to market six retired jackups and 10 retired barges for sale. All of the barges are cold-stacked near Houma, Louisiana. INTERNATIONAL: In addition to these Hercules units, Bassoe Offshore is marketing for sale the KCA Deutag platform drilling rig Rubicon. The modular hydraulic platform rig is currently stacked in Rosenberg, Norway, and recently completed a long term contract for Talisman in the UK North Sea. The unit is to be sold on an 'as is, where is' basis. The 1996-built unit weighs 769 tons, and has a 300 ton capacity Stewart & Stevenson derrick, 300 ton hydraulic drawworks, Maritime Hydraulic 650 HY topdrive, and two 800 HP Wirth Triplex mud-pumps.
