A commercially available and accurate- video extensometer has achieved BS: EN: ISO 9513 class 0.2 and ASTM E83 B-1 certification. Customers use the system with a high data rate to capture quickly changing measurement events. Recently, the company was asked to certify the test at 500 Hz, so the firm had its non-contact video extensometer tested by a UKAS certified, independent laboratory, where it passed all testing.
