The 4th World Ceramic Biennale 2007 International Competition attracted entries from many parts of the world. Danish ceramist Bodil Manz was awarded Grand Prize for The Architectural Volume in the 'Ceramics as Expression' category; she will receive the KRW60,000,000 (approximately 62,000 US dollars). The Architectural Volume consists of ten high-fired translucent porcelain vessels, which have geometrical drawings on the inner and outer body to represent architectural space and composition. Gold Prizes went to Korean artist Una Lee for Supernatural 01 and to French artist Claire Lindner for Leviathan in the 'Ceramics for Use' and 'Ceramics as Expression' categories respectively. Italian maker Antonella Cimatti and Japanese maker Aoki Ryota were selected as Silver Prize winners in the 'Ceramics for Use' category, and Danish potter Michael Geertsen and Korean potter Chunbok Lee were nominated as Silver Prize winners for the 'Ceramics as Expression' group.
