Toyo picks site for Chinese tyre plant

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has picked Zhangjiagang City as the site for its proposed Chinese tyre factory. The new plant is expected to come on stream by end 2011 with about 500 employees and initial capacity for 2 million passenger and light truck tyres, Toyo said. The investment in the plant is estimated to be around US$105 million.
