The crossing of $5 price milestone by natu-ral rubber (NR) has, ofcourse, added to the excitement of growers while the consumers, mainly tyre companies that account for a major share of the global NR consumption, are stricken with panic. The consuming industry is seized of the issue and is exploring ways and means to somehow keep their margins intact in the face of the growing demand-supply gap in NR.
