Rubber growers in all producing countries are watching with bated breath the sudden fall in natural rubber prices consequent on the global economic slowdown and financial turmoil. Prices in India nosedived from Rs. 140 a kg. for RSS 4 on September 1, 2008 to Rs.81.50 on October 13 and then slowly recovered to around Rs. 91 as on October 23, 2008.
