VAI's solutions for rolling ultrathin hot strip

The new mini-mills for flat products are more and more capable of producing hot rolled strip with a thickness below 1.2 mm. In order to achieve good surface aspects, special attention has to be paid to lubrication methods. Narrow geometrical tolerances can be met thanks to the applied roll technologies, to measuring and control systems and to dynamic work roll cooling.
