摘要

UV curable coatings have been important in providing fast drying protective coatings for a variety of surfaces, but for high technology applications, such as marine or space, further polymer developments are necessary. This study synthesises three novel UV-curable polysiloxanes comprising a polysiloxane backbone with methacryloxy/fluorinated (at 3 different ratios) side chains (PSMF), in order to combine the benefits of siloxane systems (flexibility, thermal stability) and fluorinated systems (water resistance, chemical resistance, thermal stability and weatherability).
