A 22-year-old woman presented with epigastric pain and abdominal distention. Physical examination showed an epigastric mass extending to the right upper quadrant. She reported use of oral contraceptives for at least 3 years. An abdominal ultrasound examination confirmed the presence of a solid central hepatic mass. An abdominal magnetic resonance imaging showed a 14.8 x 17 cm giant exophytic tumour, arising from the lateral segments (Fig. 1A). A left lateral partial hepatectomy (Fig. 1B) was performed with an uneventful post-operative period. Histological examination confirmed an adenoma.
