Grid computing steps up a gear

摘要

Grid computing has stepped up a gear with a new project aimed at drawing together computerised resources and establishing a Grid infrastructure available across Europe,24 hours a day.Following the coimpletion of the pioneering European DataGrid(EDG)project,which tested the concept of lage-scale Grid computing,the new project Enabling Grids for e-science in Europe(EGEE),aims to build on the successes of the EDG and create a permanent,reliable Grid infrastructure across Europe.
