"There is nothing like looking at trees you've seen in Central America growing in your own garden while at the same time hearing the call of Himalayan pheasants. That's the reason and the ultimate reward for all the effort I have put in over the lasteighteen years," says Blake Twigden of his Whitford garden south of Auckland. "The philosophy is to make it look natural - it's contrived to look that way."
