Polarimeters Tackle Difficult Samples in Sugar,Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries

Xylem's Bellingham + Stanley brand has added further capabilities to its ADP600 Series polarimeters.Not only is the instrument capable of measuring to four decimal places(°A)under Peltier temperature controlled conditions across the UV/Vis spectrum,a new addition,the ADS620P,is now able to measure dark sugar solutions in the near infrared wavelength(880 nm)when used with Celite~R clarifying agent.The use of Celite negates the traditional but environmentally unfriendly lead acetate clarification method commonly used in the sugar industry.
