AUSITRALIAN PAPER AND WOOD-BASED industries are facing critical challenges in key areas, including: supply imbalances, increasing resource access restrictions, imports, lack of domestic processing, environmental regulations, flat per capita consumption and poor public perception.Those issues and widespread concern about the lack of cohesion in key promotional and research areas have provided the impetus for a proposal to create a company specifically to deliver market-driven R&D and generic marketing promotions for the industry.
