摘要

In this paper a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) approach for model reduction of Linear Time Invariant Continuous System (LTICS) has been dealt. The results are shown in the form of unit step response curves. It is observed that the proposed procedure minimizes the integral square error of the reduced model when compared to the unit step time response of the original higher order model. The integral square error obtained is also compared with the values computed using other model reduction methods. The proposed scheme is illustrated with numerical examples.
