摘要

At the start of 2014, it is a great pleasure to present to you this slightly larger edition of the journal.The edition starts with a summary of "What Was Hot" at the ICS 2013 annual meeting. I am indebted to the group of young academics whose initiative and hard work has facilitated this.The next part of the journal refers to the Frontiers in Urology meeting, which was made possible by an educational travel grant from Astellas Pharma. All of the papers in this section are of high quality and underwent full peer review. Indeed, hot all of the papers presented at the meeting were found to be suitable for publication by the reviewers.The journal contains the usual selection of interesting clinical papers including randomised controlled trials evaluating pelvic floor muscle training and comparing two procedures for anterior vaginal wall repair. There is then a diverse selection of papers covering a number of important topics within functional urology.
