It is a great pleasure to introduce to you the penultimate edition of Neurourology & Urodynamics for 2012. Within this edition we have, as usual, a diverse number of topics covered, but there is an interesting emphasis on the practice and role of urodynamics with a number of articles dealing with this. In particular there is a review from the Bristol group dealing with urodynamic features and artifacts.The most pertinent news since the last edition of the journal is that the Impact Factor is continuing to increase, albeit incrementally. The latest Impact Factor for 2011 is 2.958. As you can see in the figure to the right, we are maintaining our ranking within the field of publishing in urology and nephrology, despite a steady increase in the number of titles in the area.
