Weed-control efficiency, weed-smothering efficiency, weed competition index, productivity and profitability of pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum ) as influenced by intercropping system and weed management practices

The experiment on intercropping of pearl millet and greengram in the row ratio of (2:1) AS recorded higher grain yield (20.06 q/ha), pearl millet equivalent yield (32.68 q/ha); harvest index ( 27.80% ), net return, benefit cost ratio, weed-control efficiency ( 31.83% ), weed-smothering efficiency ( 57.70% ), and least weed competition index ( 5.44% ) compared to other treatment methods.
