Anaplasma phagocytophilum–infected Ticks, Japan

摘要

We report Anaplasma phagocytophilum infection ofIxodes persulcatus and I. ovatus ticks in Japan. Uniquep44/msp2 paralogs (and/or 16S rRNA genes) were detect-ed in tick tissues, salivary glands, and in spleens of exper-imentally infected mice. These findings indicate the publichealth threat of anaplasmosis in Japan
