Biomonitoring of airborn soils contamination in Dnipropetrovsk megapolis

摘要

The soil airborn pollution influence on functional state of radish seedlings was studied. It has been shown, that the variability of chemical composition of soils from different polluted sites lead to active reorganization in cell protein system. Comparative analysis of obtained data allows to reveal a direct correlation between the degree of contamination and the mass escape. Reduced mass escape of soils in Dnepropetrovsk was 15-21 for Dneprodzerzhinsk 25-45. To a certain extent, changes in protein concentrations in the roots and leaves are in inverse proportion to the mass of escape. The biotesting of airborn polluted soils in Dnipropetrovsk and Dniprodzerzhynsk cities has been done. It was established that radish as plant bioindicator adaptive reactions to heavy metals pollution are connected with decreasing of intensity of general protein synthesis, the formation of different in the composition and intensity of pool readily soluble cytoplasm inclusion proteins, the changing in activity of antioxidant protection system. The activity of peroxidase determined in roots and leaves of radish sprouts varies considerably. That is caused by the nonuniformity of the composition in investigated sites.
