U.S. Army reinstated M88A2IRV program in FY07. Deliveries of seven M88A2 HERCULES to Australian Army were completed last year. Egyptian co-production program was reportedly completed last year. Forecast only reflects new vehicle production for export. A tracked armored recovery vehicle. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), through the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), sponsored the development and U.S. Army procurement of the M88 series ARV.
