Gemcom Software Inc has released the latest version of its leading geology, mine planning and production scheduling software - GEMS 6. Gemcom president and chief executive officer Rick Moignard said the group's solutions were designed to improve mining processes by improving the quality and availability of mining data. Genicom's chief technology officer Ram Sudama said by using the graphics capabilities available in GEM 6, mining companies can improve the accuracy of geological and resource models because the system enables such models to be examined from more vantage points in a shorter period of time.
