At the beginning of March the New South Wales Government started its 850,000 dollars high resolution airborne geophysical survey over the south east of the state. The areas to be scrutinised include the Eden, Bombala, Cooma and Brindabella regions and the survey is being flown in conjunction with Geoscience Australia, which is also funding the cost of the exercise over the Australian Capital Territory. The airborne geophysical exercise -which aims to produce high resolution magnetic and radiometric geophysical data - will cover more than 24,000 square kilometres and result in the acquisition of in excess of 107,000 line km of geoscientific information.
