TheaimofthisstudywastoevaluatetheeffectofenzymesupplementationondigestibilityandNbalanceingrowingpigsfedfiber-richdietsbasedonricebranandensiledfoliageofTaro(Colocaciaesculenta).Eightcrossbred(LargeWhitexLocal)castratemalepigsweighing30.2±0.80kgwereallottedtoa2*2factorialarrangementoffourtreatmentsinadoubleLatinSquare.Eachexperimentalperiodwasof12dayswithcollectionoffeces,urineandfeedresiduesonthelast5daysofeachperiod.Thefirstfactorwaswithorwithoutenzymesupplementationandthesecondwasgradeofricebran(fineorcoarse).nbsp;Thefinericebranwashigherincrudeprotein(CP)nbsp;andlowerincrudefiber(CF)thanthecoarsebran.IntakesofDM,tarofoliageandCPwereincreasedbyenzymesupplementationonthecoarsebrandietbuttherewasnoeffectofenzymeinthedietswithfinebran.Overallintakeswerehigherforfinethanforcoarsebrandiets.nbsp;nbsp;TheapparentdigestibilitiesofDM,OM,CPandCFwerehigherforfinericebrandietscomparedwithcoarsericebran.OnthecoarsebrandietenzymesupplementationincreasedthedigestibiliityofDM,OM,CPandCFbuthadnoeffectinthedietsbasedonfinericebran.nbsp;Nretentionwasincreasedbyenzymesupplementationandbyusingfinecomparedwithcoarsericebran.nbsp;Therewerenointeractionsamongthetreatments.Itwasconcludedthatthenutritivevalueofricebran-ensiledtarofoliagedietsforgrowingpigsisenhancedbysupplementationwithamixedenzymepreparationandthattheeffectisgreaterondietswithhighercontentofcrudefiber.
