Nigeria has added a new crude oil grade - the Nembe - to its stream of export grades to the international market, with the first cargoes sold to refiners in France and the Netherlands, the state Nigerian National Petroleum Co. said Nov. 8. Produced mainly by indigenous producer Aiteo Eastern in partnership with the NNPC in the southeastern Niger Delta, the Nembe crude grade allows Nigeria to export an additional two 950,000-barrel cargoes of crude oil and 1.2 Bcf of gas per month, the NNPC said in a statement.
