C-5m Super Galaxy Delivered To Dover Afb For Ote

On february 9 the first Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy arrived at Dover AFB, Delaware, where it will undergo operational test and evaluation (OTE). The aircraft, 86-0013, named The Spirit of Global Reach, is the first of three that will be flown by the 709th Airlift Squadron, 436th Airlift Wing, from the base during the trials. The second aircraft was due to join it by the end of February, after having test equipment removed.Lockheed Martin handed over the first C-5M (69-0024) to the US Air Force on December 9, 2008. It was delivered to the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins AFB, Georgia, where it is currently undergoing a 271-day programmed depot maintenance (PDM). The aircraft will join the other two at Dover AFB this summer.
