摘要

Directed energy deposition (DED) has a high deposition efficiency because of the high laser power and powder feeding speed. Deformation is one of the most important problems because it is directly related to the final depositing quality. The deformation of substrate is investigated during the DED process. Both finite element analysis and in situ measurement are used to analyze the deformations. The results show that substrate deformation increased quickly and decreased periodically in the additive manufacturing stage, then it tended to be stable during the cooling stage. The relationship among the deformation, temperature, stress and substrate thickness was analyzed. The results of simulation and experiment are very close, which will help to reduce the cost of numbers of experiments.
