GIFA hailed a success

AS GIFA 2003 closed its doors, exhibitors and visitors alike appear to have had a successful show. Like many readers of Foundry Trade Journal, I have recently returned from Dusseldorf. The occasion was, of course, the GIFA exhibition, that four yearly extravaganza of all foundry related things worth seeing. Your favourite international foundry magazine had a stand at the show and I am grateful to the large number of visitors who called by to see us. I certainly met up with many old friends and made plenty of new ones. Apologies to those of you who visited the stand to see me while I was looking around the show, but thank you for leaving your business cards. I will be in touch very soon. GIFA shows have always been highlights for me throughout the 17 or so years that I have edited Foundry Trade Journal, the most up to date catalogue being a permanent fixture on my desk. As a reference source, its position is arguable unrivalled - except perhaps by Foundry Trade Journal's own Foundry Yearbook and Castings Buyers Directory.
