Amcor agrees to acquire Sonoco's blow molding business for US $280 million

AMCOR Rigid Plastics has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Sonoco's Global Plastic blow molding business in North America for US $280 million. Sonoco's rigid plastics blow molding operations include seven manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada serving the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, Tiealth and beauty, and personal care markets.
