Solar water purifier and desalination system

The water purifier works on solar energy and does not require any external power source. Absence of membrane or filters makes this setup economical. It is based on the principal of continuous evaporation and condensation of water. The system receives impure water by gravity into the solar collector chamber through a feed pipe. Solar energy heats and vaporizes the water. Water vapours condense on the inside surface of the inclined glass enclosure. This phase change excludes any transfer of contaminants into the pure water. Droplets of naturally purified/desalinated water run down into a pure water collector. Preliminary independent testing conducted in the lab suggests good efficiency.
